Leah acquired her Bachelors of Arts in Communication from San Diego State University. While attending SDSU she realized her passion for marketing and served on the executive board for the American Marketing Association as the Director of advertising and promotions. While serving this position, she wanted to explore greater ways that she and her cohorts could serve the community. She then served two semesters as the Director of community service where she connected the chapter with numerous non-profit organizations including: The American Red Cross, I Love A Clean San Diego and The Susan G. Koman for the Cure. In addition, Leah used her marketing knowledge to start her marketing business, Prave Marketing where she strives to help her clients reach their marketing and advertising potential. Her last semester at SDSU she served as a mentor through the Harambee Scholars Mentoring Program. As a mentor she provided support and encouragement of continued growth and success for first-time African American students. She helped to enrich the educational, social and cultural experience of first-time students by providing exposure to all facets of Aztec Life. She plans on returning to college in the future to pursue her Masters degree in Public Relations. A previous cellist and flutist, Leah reads and write music and aspires some day to continue learning music. Her love for music is what brought her to The Music Therapy Center. Lastly, her compassion and concern with getting the job done right, positive out look on life and dedicated approach to new projects makes her a great asset to The Music Therapy Center.
