Becca Paoni completed her Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from the Nazareth College of Rochester, her primary instrument is voice. She was actively involved in many groups on campus including: Call4Backup – an all female a capella group, the HEOP mentoring program for at-risk students, and was also a mentor and volunteer music teacher for the LifePrep program for young adults with disabilities. She has been involved in the community giving presentations on music therapy as well as sitting on inter-professional discussion panels. She also participated in the Jamaica Field Service Project (JAFSP) where professionals and students pursuing various degrees come together to learn and serve a diverse range of populations in Jamaica.
“I grew up in a musical family, so music has always been an essential part of my life. As I began to think about transitioning from high school to college, I found that the field of music therapy was the perfect combination of music and science, and would also allow me to do what I love most – help people. I instantly knew this was the path for me.”
