  • Can design innovative, creative, and high-quality music therapy sessions to meet a variety of different needs and diagnoses in individual and group settings.
  • Have advanced training preferred (Neurologic Music Therapy, DIR Floortime, ABA, RDI, Nordoff-Robbins, etc.).
  • Can demonstrate ethical judgment, decision-making, and confidentiality in dealing with staff, clients, and the community.
  • Love to have fun! 

WHAT WOULD BE EXPECTED?

Deliver Incredible Service to Clients

  • Plan and facilitate innovative and creative direct music therapy services and adapted lessons for all clients assigned on your caseload
  • Provide resources, consult materials, client-retention videos, and progress reports as needed in a timely manner as assigned and/or requested by parents/caregivers/facilities

Be a Dream Team Member

  • Contribute significant value to the growth and development of our company
  • Positively contribute to weekly staff meetings
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and families in program planning and service delivery
  • Seek improvement through provided clinical supervision and professional development

WHAT ARE THE POSITION BENEFITS & REQUIREMENTS?

This is a full-time position, 40 hours a week.

Compensation packages are customized based on YOUR PRIORITIES and VALUES. Our generous benefits include:

  • $1,000 signing bonus
  • $1,000 contract completion bonus if you stay for the duration of your 12-month contract
  • PTO and sick days

    • 7 paid days off between Christmas and New Year

  • We believe in the importance of snack time! Our direct service team needs to stay fueled and well hydrated to operate their best–after all, one of favorite sayings is, “If you don’t hydrate, you die-drate!.” In our break areas you’ll find a well-stocked:
    • Coffee/tea station
    • A snack bar
  • We believe in a healthy work-life balance, and only schedule our team 40 hours per week so that they have ample time to pursue their interests and passions outside of work. 
    • Team member schedules include weekly remote and flexible administrative time, standing session planning time, and 15 minute transition/consultation time between sessions. Additionally, when clients cancel or your caseload changes, it does not impact your salary.
    • All meeting time, travel time between sites, supervision, documentation, session planning and more is included in your salary.
    • Our full-time Administrative Coordinator and Director of First Impressions, handles all scheduling, reschedules, cancellations and client communication so that therapists can dedicate their time to do what they do best: providing excellent customer service to their clients.
  • We believe in offering opportunities for advancement within the company.

Requirements include:

  • Have at least a bachelor’s degree in music therapy or equivalency.
  • Possess current certification from the Certification Board for Music Therapists or completion of internship with scheduled test date.
  • A car and auto insurance. Traveling between contracted sites and facilities is required (approximately 10% of time)
  • Pass fingerprinting/background check (paid for by the company)
  • Initial COVID vaccination series
  • This position requires frequent lifting, loading/unloading, pushing/pulling, and carrying  equipment up to 15 pounds or more (e.g. Rock and Roll Cart, keyboard and stand, guitar, suitcase filled with instruments, etc.). It includes position changes from standing to sitting and walking. Ability to adjust your body position in space (standing to sitting to squatting, etc.) and model movement is often required to meet the needs of the client (e.g. sitting on the floor or child’s size chair).
