In this role, you will help guide high-quality music therapy services across two clinic locations and community programs, supporting neurodivergent individuals and people with developmental disabilities. This position is ideal for a seasoned clinician who is passionate about mentorship, clinical excellence, and building systems that help therapists and clients thrive.

Join a collaborative clinical team providing music therapy services to students with diverse learning needs. MTC is seeking a Board-Certified Music Therapist who is passionate about helping students thrive socially, emotionally, and academically through evidence-based music interventions. In this role, you will provide music therapy within school settings (PreK–12), helping students achieve IEP goals related to communication, social skills, emotional regulation, and learning. This position is ideal for a clinician who enjoys working in interdisciplinary teams and supporting meaningful educational outcomes for students.

In this role you will

  • Provide individual music therapy sessions in school settings
  • Conduct music therapy assessments and re-evaluations
  • Write evaluation reports, progress notes, and clinical documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators and related service providers
  • Adapt interventions for students with autism, developmental disabilities, and other special education needs, aligned with IEP goals

We’re looking for someone who

What you’ll do

  • Plan and facilitate innovative direct music therapy services and adapted lessons across your caseload
  • Provide resources, consult materials, progress reports, and client-retention videos as needed
  • Collaborate with team members and families in program planning and service delivery
  • Contribute positively to weekly staff meetings and team-building and community events
  • Seek improvement through provided clinical supervision and professional development
  • Serve as an ambassador for the company’s mission
  • Manage administrative responsibilities accurately and on time — billing, mileage, session data, sanitization between clients, email, and documentation

 

What we’re looking for

  • Comfortable working in a variety of settings (clinics, schools, mental health centers, nonprofits, day programs, group homes, memory care, and more)
  • A team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Rock star musician — strong in voice, guitar, and/or piano
  • Clinical experience with individuals of all ages with neurodevelopmental and neurodivergent needs (ASD, Down syndrome, dementia, etc.)
  • Organized, reliable, and deeply committed to the profession
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to learn and do your best
  • Tech-savvy with Apple products (iPads and apps), Zoom, GSuite, Canva, etc.
  • Able to design innovative, high-quality sessions for individual and group settings across varied diagnoses
  • Advanced training preferred: Neurologic Music Therapy, DIR Floortime, ABA, RDI, Nordoff-Robbins, etc.
  • Demonstrates ethical judgment, confidentiality, and sound decision-making with staff, clients, and the community
  • Loves to have fun!

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in music therapy or equivalency
  • Current MT-BC certification or internship completion with scheduled exam date
  • Valid car and auto insurance — travel between contracted sites required (~10% of time)
  • Pass fingerprinting/background check (paid by company)
  • Initial COVID vaccination series
  • Ability to frequently lift, load/unload, push/pull, and carry equipment up to 15 lbs or more (e.g. keyboard and stand, guitar, instrument suitcase, Rock and Roll Cart); includes position changes from standing to sitting, squatting, and walking, and modeling movement to meet client needs

Rock Star Program Coordinator

Banding Together is seeking a Programs Coordinator to support the planning and implementation of our community music programs, events, and fundraisers throughout the year. This role combines program coordination and musical leadership, including facilitating Jam Sessions for teens and adults with developmental disabilities across community locations.

In this role you will

  • Coordinate logistics for Banding Together programs, events, and fundraisers
  • Provide on-site support and musical facilitation for Jam Sessions (singing, accompaniment, and drum circles)
  • Collaborate with program leaders and Jam Session coordinators to ensure high-quality programming
  • Support event planning, volunteers, and community performances
  • Assist with program promotion, outreach, and participant communication

We’re looking for someone who

  • Has strong musical skills (voice + accompaniment on piano or guitar)
