MT-BC digital badge, a circle with the words Certification Board for Music Therapists - MT-BC.

Rebeca was born and raised in the Los Angeles area. Her musical journey began in elementary school band and from that point forward Rebeca has had a passion to create music and use it for good. Through a variety of experiences, from playing saxophone, to guitar, keyboard and voice, Rebeca developed her musicianship skills. In college, Rebeca was actively involved in choirs such as Chamber Singers and Woman’s Chorale. Her passion for music and determination to be of service to others naturally aligned with the field of music therapy, leading her to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Music Therapy at Cal State University Northridge in 2019.

As a board-certified music therapist, Rebeca has completed additional certification in Neurologic Music Therapy. Her clinical experience has been molded through the variety of populations and settings. Most recently, Rebeca specialized in working with seniors in memory care homes and assisted living communities through her own private practice for over a year. At the CSUN Music Therapy Wellness Clinic, she served on staff as a clinician and fieldwork supervisor for over four years. During this time, Rebeca provided individual and group music therapy services to neurodiverse children and adults in a variety of settings (e.g. schools, pediatric units, elementary schools) and directed the all-inclusive Rising Star Children’s Choir.

“I believe music therapy is a true work of heart and I’m passionate about being a vessel through which music can support and impact individuals. It is a true gift and honor to be able to step in and be a bridge for others to connect to their potential through music.”
